The Chandos Arms coat of arms, established 1842 Our Story

More than a pint and a plate, a village local that's been part of the community for generations.

A little history

A proper village inn

The Chandos Arms has stood on Main Street since 1842, a handsome roadside inn that has welcomed travellers and villagers alike for the best part of two centuries. Behind the white render and flower-filled baskets you'll find the things that make a pub a pub: a warm fire of welcome, a well-kept cellar and good company.

Lovingly refreshed in recent years and run with real care, today's Chandos blends that long heritage with a bright, comfortable feel, a place that's just as good for a quiet midweek pint as a full house on a Sunday.

What we're about

The Chandos way

Locally sourced

We buy from local butchers, fishmongers and growers wherever we can, for fresher food and to support the producers on our doorstep.

Everyone welcome

For families, walkers, locals and their dogs, there's always a warm welcome, a comfy corner and a water bowl on the go.

Heart of the village

From live music to seasonal celebrations, we're proud to be a gathering place for Weston Turville, the way a good local should be.

Where we are

Weston Turville &
the Chilterns

We're lucky to call one of Buckinghamshire's prettiest corners home. Weston Turville is an ancient village in the Vale of Aylesbury, recorded in the Domesday Book and once famous for raising the celebrated Aylesbury duck, sitting right at the foot of the Chiltern Hills.

It's wonderful walking country, which makes us the perfect place to start, finish or break up a day in the great outdoors. Come in muddy boots and bring the dog.

  • On the doorstepWeston Turville Reservoir, an easy, dog-friendly nature walk around the water (a designated wildlife site).
  • Up on the hillsCoombe Hill & the Ridgeway, sweeping views over the Vale of Aylesbury, just a short drive away.
  • A walk in the woodsWendover Woods, miles of waymarked trails for families and four-legged friends.
  • Nearby townsJust over 3 miles from both Wendover and Aylesbury, and an easy hop from the canal towpath.
